The Notifier FDM-1 is an intelligent addressable dual monitor module fire alarm interface that provides two independent two-wire initiating device circuits (IDCs) at two separate, consecutive SLC addresses. Each circuit can supervise dry-contact initiating devices such as conventional heat detectors, pull stations, or 2-wire smoke detectors.

Each channel is capable of monitoring normally open contact fire alarm or supervisory devices, and the module can be programmed for either normally open or normally closed security device monitoring. Open, short, and alarm conditions are reported independently per input, improving point-level fault diagnostics on intelligent systems.

Nominal operating voltage is 15 to 32 VDC, with 5.0 mA maximum current draw (LED on) and a 47K ohm end-of-line resistance. Maximum IDC wiring resistance is 1500 ohms and maximum IDC voltage is 11 V. The FDM-1 mounts directly to a 4-inch square electrical box (minimum 2-1/8" deep) and is UL listed for commercial fire alarm installations.
